MEMORY BAR is a project originally started by Society of Cocktails, the Brighton-based artistic event company founded by Ned Lawlor and Thomas Buckley. I joined their team after meeting Thomas Buckley during the Artist Lock-in, hosted by Arthouse Jersey.
MEMORY BAR brings memories to life in performed events, taking the form of a cocktail evening. The events are filled to the brim with large-scale, interactive projections, soundscapes, custom fragrances and bespoke cocktails.
“MEMORY BAR is an ongoing project. In this experience, you’ll ‘taste’ the memories of other people which are interpreted as elaborate cocktails and immersive moments. You’ll be invited to choose a real person’s memory to experience through taste, sight, sound and smell.”
